Introduction to the Galleria dell’Accademia

The Galleria dell’Accademia in Florence is one of Italy’s most visited art museums. Located on Via Ricasoli in the historic center, it is best known for housing Michelangelo’s David, displayed in a bright tribune designed to highlight the statue.
