Introduction to Itmad-ud-Daula

Itmad-ud-Daula is a Mughal mausoleum located in Agra, in the Moti Bagh district. Often described as a “small Taj Mahal,” it draws attention for its delicate proportions and rich decoration. The monument also stands out as one of the city’s first major marble tombs.

The site was built for an eminent member of the Mughal court, Nur Jahan, who commissioned this tomb in honor of her father.
