Lâm Viên Square : info and guided tour

Overview of Lâm Viên Square

On the shore of Xuan Huong Lake, Lâm Viên Square is Da Lat’s best-known public square. Located on Đ. Trần Quốc Toản, it offers a large open space linking the lakeside promenade, shops and viewpoints over the city center. It is one of the busiest places to experience the atmosphere of this mountain town.

The square is especially famous for its contemporary architectural forms, now considered symbols of Da Lat. Visitors will notice the large yellow glass structure shaped like an artichoke bud and the green glass building inspired by the flower bud of a wild daisy. These sculptural volumes give the whole site an immediately recognizable silhouette.

Lâm Viên Square was designed as a place to meet and stroll in the heart of the city. Its layout combines an esplanade, gardens and commercial areas, while leaving plenty of space for views of the lake and the surrounding hills. By day and in the evening, the lively atmosphere makes it a major urban landmark.

What draws people here is as much the architecture as the square’s role in Da Lat’s modern identity. With its bold lines, transparent surfaces and references to local flora, Lâm Viên Square has become an iconic stop for understanding the city’s contemporary face.
