Introduction to the Monumento dei Quattro Mori

The Monumento dei Quattro Mori is one of the best-known symbols of Livorno. Located in Piazza Giuseppe Micheli, it combines a statue of Ferdinand I de’ Medici with a group of four prisoner figures, which is where its popular name comes from.
