Overview of Pisac Archaeological Park

Pisac Archaeological Park overlooks the Sacred Valley of the Incas, above the town of Pisac in the Cusco region. This vast pre-Hispanic complex brings together agricultural terraces, residential areas and ceremonial sectors, set on the slopes of an Andean mountain. Its dramatic setting is a major reason for its fame in the valley.

The site is best known for its stepped terraces, which follow the contours of the landscape with great precision, as well as for its carefully fitted stone walls.
