Introduction to Poble Espanyol

Poble Espanyol is located on Montjuïc hill in Barcelona, within the grounds of the former 1929 International Exposition. Designed as an architectural ensemble on a human scale, it brings together streets, squares and façades inspired by different Spanish villages, with a wide variety of materials and styles.

The site recreates a closed urban route where visitors move from one space to another as if they were walking through a small village. You will see whitewashed houses, patios, arcades, narrow passages and more open squares, in a composition created to evoke several regions of Spain without leaving Barcelona.
