Introduction to Torres de Serranos

The Torres de Serranos are one of the great fortified gateways of the former medieval walls of Valencia. Located at the northern entrance to the historic centre, they mark the passage into the Ciutat Vella and are among the city’s best-known landmarks. Built in stone, the towers feature two massive volumes connected by a central opening, with a robust appearance typical of Valencian Gothic military architecture.
