Introduction to the Cascade

The Yerevan Cascade is a vast terraced monumental complex built against the hillside linking the city center to the Kentron district. Located at 10 Tamanyan Street, it combines an outdoor staircase, exhibition spaces, and viewpoints over the city, making it both an urban attraction and a much-visited cultural venue.

The site is best known for its pale concrete architecture, long flights of stairs, and fountains, which structure the ascent to the upper levels. The complex also features sculptures and contemporary open-air artworks, giving the walk a museum-like and highly visual character in the heart of Yerevan.
